He’s back ….
Last week we had scheduled to record the bottom. By that I mean the low end of a track that rumbles and riots the song in your soul. The part that makes you literally feel the song in your floor and fillings. Of course I am talking about the bass guitar.
So Travis, Bryan and I arrive at the studio only to discover that Steve was nowhere to be found. Some calls went out and he was found washed up on the shores of Carlsbad CA. So let me explain …
… our beloved Steve is the reason why we must take a motorcycle whenever we go on tour or out of town. For we know that there is 50/50 chance at best, that when it is time to be somewhere and get moving, Steve will be missing. So we leave messages, drop the bike and hope he catches up in time. HE HAS NEVER MISSED A GIG YET!
So anyways, Steve had forgotten to inform us that he was taking his family to the beach. Not for the afternoon, not for the day, but for the week! Well we of course made due, crushing out the drums, keys and acoustic guitars to “Troubled Sky”. And last night, along with some great sounds from ‘the sound’, the rumble and the riot made it complete.
