what is the voice of an artist? what is the voice of 24E? This is the question that fills my thoughts this day and as I contemplate the posibility of answers, I realize that the obvious is not so ….. well ….. obvious. So … … is it the songwriters lyric? … is it the music? … is it the collective message of an album? … is it live? … is it the connection offered and accepted? How can it not be all of these things or how is it any of these things? So here is where i land, if you’re honest in who and what you present, this is your voice. If you are not, then this too is your voice … so be real and honest. cblime The new voice of 24E in the album, “Monks, Monsters and the Suffering” coming soon!

The band has just completed their follow-up to 2007′s “From Stagger To Wind” and their 3rd studio release in a decade.

The album calls on the production talents of guitarist, Travis Tingley and  a host of new and old collaborators, including Ambient artist Bill Olien from “Resonant Drift” and singer, songwriter Romulo Costa formally of “Brilliant Absence.”

Look for a new single and video to hit your face very, very soon.

2009 behind 24E

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Friends, fans and loyal listeners,

2009 had it’s ups and downs. We as individuals and as a band had some life changing moments of courage and clarity.

Our lead guitarist, fellow song writer and producer delivered his best work, as he and wife Emily, welcomed their 1st child Daisy.

The Energy, searched his heart and mind for what is really needed for a man and his family to live and made some material changes towards a new existance and landed just fine.

The Proffessor continued to tear away a mask that he had kept at the door for years. Beneath it he found an equal amount of pain and relief that will follow him in to the new decade. But the mask is gone and he moves on the more real.

As for me, I bounced between love and dissappointment and a greater understanding of human behaviour. I found that darkness is not that unnatural and the judgement of man can be dealt with much easier when you realize that.

These things and a few others have brought distractions that have had 24E working on our new cd, “Monks, Monsters and the Suffering” all year
long.
We are all better for it and although the release has had some delays the album will be better for it as well.
This has also kept us from our passion for playing live, so in 2010 we promise you will see more of that. Maybe in some unique ways and places but whether it be acoustic, electric, loud or intimate we will bring our expression to you.

We continue to wonder what 24E will mean to the history and future of music. We don’t know how
far our music will reach and who will hear it. But
what we do know is that we will keep making it
and no matter what other musical ventures we enter in to, 24E will ALWAYS make albums
together … always!

Love and respect and Gods love to all,
